The Company
Nanopharm Ltd was founded in 2002 by Dr Robert Price and Dr Paul Young specialising in the application of atomic force microscopy (AFM) and other surface sensitive techniques in characterising pharmaceutical materials and formulations. Successful growth of the company has been achieved through an organic business model.
Recent Developments
In late 2006, with the advent of the cohesive-adhesive balance (CAB™) approach for the characterising active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), the company has focussed its attentions on the physico-chemical properties which influence the behaviour of the APIs in terms of stability, performance and its influence on the efficacy of the drug product.This novel development has allowed informed decisions to be made at critical stages during the research and development program, allowing the introduction of possible protection measures and optimisation controls to be introduced earlier into the development process. |
